In feng shui, Fire belongs to the south and the 離 (lí) trigram. It is carried by reds, oranges, and warm pinks, by pointed and triangular shapes, and by real light, candles, and lamps.
To strengthen Fire in a room, add its source, Wood. To calm an excess of Fire, let it drain into Earth or restrain it with Water. Warm colours, triangular forms, and real light are the usual carriers, placed to lift and brighten a space.
Popular feng shui ties the south and Fire to fame and recognition, 名聲 (míng shēng). Treat this as symbolic intention, not a mechanism. Guaranteed-recognition placement claims are modern popularisation, not classical law. A lamp or a warm colour is traditionally intended to invite warmth and visibility, and nothing more is promised.
